You can support the work of the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia financially, in a variety of ways, at any time throughout the year. We will provide a charitable tax receipt for donations of $10 or more; but we welcome any gift that you can make. You can also specify, if you wish, how you would like your gift to be used. For instance, you can direct your gift to education, to programs and services, or to research on the cause and cure of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.
You can make a straight donation, make a donation in memory of someone who has passed away, respond to our annual campaign, or participate in events, such as Memory Walks or Coffee Breaks. If you are making a donation in memory of someone, we can send a card to the next of kin, on your behalf, if you wish.
You can also remember the Society with a planned gift. This sort of gift could take the form of a charitable bequest in your will, a gift of life insurance, a charitable gift annuity, a gift of stock and other marketable securities, or a trust or endowment. Please let us know if you are interested in learning more about planned giving, by contacting us.
We accept donations by VISA, MasterCard, or cheque. For VISA or MasterCard donations, we will need your card number, the expiry date of the credit card and your name, as it appears on the credit card.
